Virtual Osteopathy

  • Price: £15 per consultation

While a trip to the Osteopath is never a bad idea, there are times when it may not be possible for you to physically attend an appointment. Maybe you can’t get away from work or you are away from the area at the moment, have family commitments or just aren’t sure whether the problem that’s bothering you is worth a half hour appointment.

If this sounds familiar then why not try out our new Virtual Osteopathy service.

How does it work?

Book an appointment by calling 01502 712505. We will email you a consent form plus a patient questionnaire to complete – these give us the background information on your relevant medical history plus a brief outline of the problems you are experiencing. Both documents need to be completed and returned to us no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment.

At the appointment time we will contact you via Skype. During the call we will talk to you about your problem, ask you questions and give you some basic movements to do in front of the camera.

How long is each virtual consultation?

Each appointment is 10 minutes long.

What sort of treatment do I receive?

At the end of the appointment we will give you a diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan. If we feel you need to attend an appointment in person we will make a follow up appointment for you at the practice.

What do I need in order to take part in a virtual consultation?

  • Somewhere private so you feel happy to talk about your personal health.
  • A computer with internet connection.
  • A skype account and skype installed on your computer.
  • The computer needs to be positioned so that you can step away from it in order to do some basic movements that can be captured on the webcam ie bending to touch your toes.

You do not need to undress during the consultation.

How much does it cost?

£15 per consultation.
